Caméra Stylo is the undergraduate academic journal in cinema studies at the University of Toronto. It runs as an offshoot of the Cinema Studies Student Union (CINSSU) and in collaboration with the Cinema Studies Institute (CSI), with seventeen volumes in publication.
We are looking for exceptional papers written by upper-level undergraduate students. This is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in getting their essays peer-reviewed, edited and published. The process is guided by our faculty advisor, Professor Alberto Zambenedetti.
The criteria for eligible papers include:
* Papers submitted to any 300 or 400 level CIN (or cross-listed) course. The final research paper for CIN201Y1 is also eligible for submission if it contains original research.
* Papers written outside the Cinema Department are eligible so long as it has been previously approved by a CSI faculty member.
* Papers need not be written within the last year. They can be from any year so long as the author is a current UofT student in their undergraduate studies.
All essays must not exceed 4000 words. If the essay you are interested in submitting has not been completed yet, we are also looking for abstracts (max. 250 words), which will summarize your key points. This option is suitable for students enrolled in a Fall semester course with papers due in December.
All submissions must be sent to email@example.com by Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:59pm.
If you have any questions regarding the submission process or Caméra Stylo in general, feel free to send an email to the above address.
